DOUBLE TAKE RANCH
PRESENTS
MIKATA'S KIREI NA MOMO DOUBLE TAKE
"EMI"
1-31-97 / 06-30-10
"Emi" in Japanese means, "pretty smile". Her
formal name in English was: Mikata's Pretty peach at DTR. "Emi"
was our
very first Shiba and is STILL the closest soul to my heart We imported her from Canada and she
is our foundation in this breed. She was like a child to me. If we had both
spoken the same language, we'd have finished each other's sentences. Below, are some pictures of Emi and her Sire and her Dam. We'd like to thank Sheryl
Langan & Linda
Wald for the opportunity to have known and lived in the company of such a
wonderful and bright Shiba.
"Emi" decided to leave us recently and so she could go to
where she would never feel old or "rickety". After being blessed with her
presence for 13 1/2 amazing years .......who were we to tell her NO?
We'll meet again Emi ....I swear it.
Stay close to Nitro and he will watch over you till I come and find you
both again.
There are no words in this life to describe how much you are missed.
Below, are some memories to share.
Emi, shown below, was a VERY busy and smart baby and had a mind of her
own. She does and did everything on her own terms.
As she matured, she blossomed into a very loyal and respectful Shiba.

She was never shown because I'm not a handler and I could not bare to
part with her ....even for a day.
Dam: CH Mikata's JP's Kensha-Kin (Canada) "Fox"
Hips & eyes normal.

shown above, taking one of many "Best Of Breeds".
Emi's Sire: CH Langan's Brushwood Switch
(Canada)
Hips and eyes normal.
It was a rare and wonderful opportunity being able to communicate with Sheryl
Langan about Emi's heritage. We were honored. Thank you so much Sheryl for the
use of this picture of Emi's, very handsome, Sire.

"Switch"
He's also one of the few true sesame colored
Shibas and right down to his proper
"widow's peak"
Below, Emi at 8 years of age still doing what she does
best......
posing!
Thank you Mike Carlson, for the professional shots of
our Emi, shown below.

Below, "Emi" ,at 9 years, blending in with her
surroundings. It's not hard to see why Shibas are sometimes mistaken for coyotes
or foxes.

Emi's head study at 2 yrs. What beautiful
"eyes" you have.
Above, a very pregnant "Emi" smiling for the camera.

Emi, shown below at almost 12 years of age, was a fantastic mother and an easy whelper. She is
now a very proud Grand-mother and we hope that those that have her lines are as
proud of her babies and grand-babies as we are.

We Love you, Emi.
