This page is dedicated to our treasured

Canine Ranch Hands ...

our Pembroke Welsh Corgi's

and also to our "Keepers Of The Peace",

Our Livestock Guardian Dogs / LGD's.

Our first little Corgi is:

Potter Farm's Gettin your Goat at Double Take

 "Giggles"

Giggles ...true to form, is also a fantastic mother and we are so proud to feature our new Corgi puppy.

Double Take's Strawberry "Whine" by Gwyndolyns, "Spirit"

who is out of Giggles and our favorite...

 Ch. Cuuchin's Enchanted Forest.

Thanks again Cheryl ...we hope that our little "Giggles" daughter ,"Spirit" does the Luce family ...and Papa Forest proud someday in the show ring.

Wow...looks like Spirit's really growing up Fast N' Furious...

Thanks so much, "Bill Strait" for your wonderful pictures ...we couldn't have done it without you.

Thanks also to ...

Sheila Mangan for the opportunity to share our lives with her mother..."Giggles" who is such a loving and hard working  Corgi.

We just love our little "sport  job".

Introducing our second PWC girl....

Gwyndolyns Kilmarnock Bonnet At Double Take,

"Marnie"

We think our exotic Marnie is the classy "sedan" of the Corgi world. She is very soft in temperament... MUCH more so than Ms. Giggles...and she prefers human enrichment and air conditioning rather than hard work and getting her feet dirty.

Her  Grand-pa "Forest" also has enjoyed the pleasures of people over livestock and he too is a fantastic example of how a Corgi can be a true people pleaser. "Forest" attained his AKC Championship title with ease and very soon after arriving from Australia. He has continued to charm his way into the hearts of many, here in the USA.

... and THIS is our new foundation boy ...

Gwyndolyns Kalipso Let's Get Knotty At DoubleTake

"Knurl"

This little number is nothing short of adorable.

Thanks... yet again, Cheryl Luce for entrusting him with us.

Our first LGD (Livestock Guardian Dog)

is ; "Odin".

He is a 2 yr. old Great Pyrenees and we adopted him from Sharon Reeves, who thoughtfully rescued him after he had been abandoned by his original family, when they lost everything.

Thank you so much Sharon.

Here he is, below, after his first few months with us and getting a day of

"special treatment" that has been well earned.

Odin says, "Thank you Candi Costa for your beautiful grooming job".

"Odin" is a wonderful protector of our exotic, Painted Desert sheep, our chickens and our Boer goats and any other livestock or domestic pets that we bring in, for that matter.

Since we live in a very remote area and have many predators that frequent our land, we've found that Odin has been a wonderful deterrent, as he keeps all of our livestock safe while still maintaining a natural environment for all.

After "Odin" came into our lives, we decided to include two other LGD's, since we have 20 acres and "Odin" could not be in all places at once. After much research and some great referrals from our daughter, Jessica, we decided that the Bulgarian Karakachan dog would be the best ranch assistant for "Odin" and for us.

Photos of our very first beautiful Bulgarian Karakachan puppy,

Running River's Rock n' Rollover,

" Roxy"

Shown below at just 13 weeks of age and again as she grows.

Wow, she's sure gettin bigger and while she is most at home being "rugged" she is still quite appealing..

To the " Houchin " family:

Words are not enough but they will have to do.

Thank you so very much for sharing this beautiful Karakachan with us.

Our second Karakachan puppy, "Milena" is quite the spitfire and was welcomed here with open paws and bated breath, by our "Roxy"and the rest of us "ranch hands".

She is adjusting well and bonding to the sheep and to her new partner/ friend, "Roxy", of course.

"Milena", is yet another fantastic example of this rare and wonderful karakachan breed and she will be loved and appreciated always.

A BIG thank you goes out to you, Providence Farms/ The Smith family, for entrusting her with us.

Our, Providence Farm's Ms. Milena is shown below at 8 weeks and again at various stages of growth.

I can't imagine my world without these loyal and determined "LGD" dogs anymore.

Some more fun "working" / relaxing shots and as they have continued to grow.....

"Roxy" above, at just 5 months, learning not to chase the baby Nigerian doeling, "Cupcake".

Milena and her "bed head" at just 4 months.

Milena says; "Odin ,why can't we play with the chickens? They're so full of themselves and we won't end up with egg on our faces ..... I promise".  Please let me off of this silly little pulley line and I'll be good, this time, really".

Thankfully, Odin knows where his bread is buttered.
