This
page
is
dedicated
to
our
treasured
Canine
Ranch
Hands
Our
first
LGD
(Livestock
Guardian
Dog)
is
"Odin".
He
is
a
2
yr.
old
Great
Pyrenees
and
we
adopted
him
from
Sharon
Reeves,
who
thoughtfully
rescued
him
after
he
had
been
abandoned
by
his
original
family,
when
they
lost
everything.
Thank
you
so
much
Sharon.

Here
he
is,
below,
after
his
first
few
months
with
us
and
getting
a
day
of
"special
treatment"
that
has
been
well
earned.
Odin
says,
"Thank
you
Candi
Costa
for
your
beautiful
grooming
job".

"Odin"
is
a
wonderful
protector
of
our
exotic,
Painted
Desert
sheep,
our
chickens
and
our
Boer
goats
and
any
other
livestock
or
domestic
pets
that
we
bring
in,
for
that
matter.
Since
we
live
in
a
very
remote
area
and
have
many
predators
that
frequent
our
land,
we've
found
that
Odin
has
been
a
wonderful
deterrent,
as
he
keeps
all
of
our
livestock
safe
while
still
maintaining
a
natural
environment
for
all.
After
"Odin"
came
into
our
lives,
we
decided
to
include
two
other
LGD's,
since
we
have
20
acres
and
"Odin"
could
not
be
in
all
places
at
once.
After
much
research
and
some
great
referrals
from
our
daughter,
Jessica,
we
decided
that
the
Bulgarian
Karakachan
dog
would
be
the
best
ranch
assistant
for
"Odin"
and
for
us.

Wow,
she's
sure
gettin
bigger.

To
the
"
Houchin
"
family:
Words
are
not
enough
but
they
will
have
to
do.
Thank
you
so
very
much
for
sharing
this
beautiful
Karakachan
with
us.
Our
second
Karakachan
puppy,
"Milena"
is
quite
the
spitfire
and
was
welcomed
here
with
open
paws
and
bated
breath,
by
our
"Roxy"and
the
rest
of
us
"ranch
hands".
She
is
adjusting
well
and
bonding
to
the
sheep
and
to
her
new
partner/
friend,
"Roxy",
of
course.
"Milena",
is
yet
another
fantastic
example
of
this
rare
and
wonderful
karakachan
breed
and
she
will
be
loved
and
appreciated
always.
A
BIG
thank
you
goes
out
to
you,
Providence

The
Smith
family,
for
entrusting
her
with
us.

months.

Milena
says;
"Odin
,why
can't
we
play
with
the
chickens? They're
so
full
of
themselves
and
we
won't
end
up
with
egg
on
our
faces
.....
I
promise".
Please
let
me
off
of
this
silly
little
pulley
line
and
I'll
be
good,
this
time,
really".
Thankfully,
Odin
knows
where
his
bread
is
buttered.

Thanks
again,

We

Introducing
our

"Marnie"
We
think
our
exotic
little
girl,
shown
below
her
Grand-pa
"Forrest's"
pictures,
is
a
fantastic
example
of
what
one
of
our
favorites
is
producing
in
his
get
and
even
in
his
grand-kids.
Forrest,
is
a
very
handsome
Australian
Import
and
Champion,
that
has
charmed
his
way
into
the
hearts
of
many,
here
in
the
USA.
A
BIG
thanks
to
Cheryl
Luce
for
sharing
a
little
bit
of
this
fantastic
dog
with
us,

We

our

going
to
enjoy
a
little
bit
of
that
"Hollywood

when
she
matures
and
she
is
currently
taking
Drama
classes,
in
preparation,
at
